Goal
The ‘Stichting Vrienden van de ETF’ is a charity that works independently of ETF, but in close cooperation with the Board of Trustees and the management of ETF, in order to promote and support the study and research at ETF. The foundation works to supplement the work of ETF and is often an important support in realizing various projects.

Strategy/Policy 2014-2019
The foundation contributes to maintaining and expanding the institution through the strengthening of means for social service provision and for research for the benefit of its own university education. The areas in which this research and service provision take place are mainly theology, religious studies and related disciplines.

Spearheads for the period of 2014-2019 are:

  • the appointment of academic personnel
  • infrastructure for research
  • making available sources, in both printed and digital form
  • facilitating academic conferences
  • expanding a digital teaching environment, in which the integration between teaching and research is further promoted

The service provision relates, among other things, to the translating of research into practice for society as a whole, for example through publications but also through contributions to social collaboration.

Activities carried out in 2017
The amounts received in 2017 have been used to finance the following projects:

Contributions to academic personnel: € 57,000
Contributions to the Library: € 13,000
Contributions to service provision: € 1,800

These projects are further documented in our ETF Annual Report 2018. The ‘Stichting Vrienden van de ETF’ has not developed any independent activities. We refer you to the Stichting Vrienden van de ETF jaarverslag 2018 (annual report 2018) for the financial accountability of the foundation.
