Opening of the Academic Year 2022-2023

Evangelische Theologische Faculteit, Leuven, cordially invites you to attend the official opening of the academic year 2022-2023 on Monday, 26 September 2022 at 8:00 pm* in the chapel of the faculty.

Prof. Dr. Jelle Creemers will present his inaugural lecture as Professor of Religious Studies and Missiology entitled:

“In the World, Not of the World”
Strategic Self-labeling in the Evangelical Free Church Movement in Flanders (1980-2022)

The lecture will be in English. After the official ceremony there will be a reception in the dining hall.

Professor Creemers will succeed Prof. Dr. Andreas Beck as Academic Dean as of this academic year.

* Professors of other universities are welcome to walk in the procession (in their academic regalia). We also ask them to register before Friday, 16 September 2022. They are expected in LCCS room 0103, no later than 7:45 pm.
