Specializations

In the specialization Bible and Theology the focus of the education lies on the study of the classical theological disciplines, in which research of the Bible is of great importance. Your knowledge of the Biblical languages of Greek and Hebrew will be deepened in this specialization. After completing the program, you will be able to follow scholarly debates in the area of theology.

The specialization Church and Pastoral Ministries emphasizes reflection on the Church and its practices. Besides insight into the working, sociology and pedagogy of the Church context, attention is paid to a reflection on the Church practices of preaching, liturgy and pastoral ministries. After completing this program, you will be able to integrate your theological insights critically into Church practice.

In Religion and Education societal perspective on religion and faith are studied from a Christian perspective and integration into the educational context is sought. Much attention is paid to other religions and the place of the Church in various cultures. After completing your studies, you will be able to dialogue with people of other religious persuasions and teach about this.
