Due to the retirement of one of our professors of Old Testament the ETF is looking for

an enthusiastic professor of Old Testament (0.5 FTE).

He/she desires to make a positive contribution to the mission of the ETF.

The following qualifications are required of a professor:

• PhD in Old Testament;
• Extensive research experience, as evidenced by a steady stream of (international) scientific publications;
• Good teaching skills and experience in developing and providing academic higher education;
• Able to attract doctoral students and supervise them as promoter;
• Good organizational and leadership skills in education, research and service;
• Established academic network;
• Good communicator, with students as well as with colleagues and peers;
• Good oral and written command of English;
• If applicable: willing to learn Dutch on short term;
• Proven experience in (academic) fundraising.
