Objectives and goals teacher training program |

The content, objectives and final outcomes of the teacher training program can be for-mulated as follows. The graduate:
- functions in general working and thinking at the level of a teacher, as guide for learning and development processes, educator, expert in terms of content, organiser, innovator/researcher, partner with the parents/caregivers and outside persons, member of a school team and of the educational community and as participating in the culture, as de-scribed in the Decision of the Flemish government of 5 October 2007;
- can utilise what was acquired during the basic study program (Ba and Ma) to give content to the objectives of Protestant Evangelical religious education, taking into account didactic and pedagogical principles and the concrete educational situation;
- is able to guide students in their development to integrate what is learned, society and meaning and to take up their place in society with personal involvement, taking into account their individual psychosocial charcater;
- strives toward optimal relationships with colleagues, support personnel, direction and inspection;
- can express him/herself clearly and correctly, both orally and in written form, in Dutch;
- is sufficiently informed of administrative requirements relating to school and his/her own career;
- respects the diversity of the Protestant Evangelical community and is able to defend this community in word and deed;
- is able to pursue further studies on the basis of self evaluation
