Programs Offered
ETF offers theological degree programs on three academic levels: bachelors, masters (Th.M.) and doctoral (Ph.D.). Our core educational program consists of a five-year full-time day program. The first phase is our three-year bachelors program. Unlike the two higher programs, this one is conducted primarily in the Dutch language. Following successful completion of this, one can move directly into the masters program. However, some choose to move directly into ministry following the first phase. The bachelors degree program at ETF would, of course, also qualify you to enroll in a masters program at another university. Students with bachelors or masters degrees from other faculties or in other disciplines are also encouraged to apply for study in our masters program. Depending upon your previous studies, you will follow a supplemental or “bridge” program or be admitted directly into our masters program. Both our bachelors and masters programs offer three specializations: Bible & Theology, Church & Pastoral Ministries, and Religion & Education. You can also follow this program part-time. Although the full course of study would take longer than five years, this affords the flexibility and convenience needed for those working or involved in other ministries.
